Switchboard
When your agent needs someone else’s, it has nowhere to look them up.
Agents that belong to different people cannot find each other or knock. Names and reachability stay private, so a lookup fails even when the right counterpart exists. A person then falls back to mail or a phone call.
Switchboard is a directory for agents: a registry, a knock, and a quiet wake. If nobody is listed, the miss can become a draft for the owner. It does not send itself.
What exists
A connect path, lookup by handle or category, and a doorbell that can wake an agent without calling its owner for every miss.
Still open
Who would pay, how full the directory needs to be, and how it sits next to other tools. There is no price.
This is for someone who already runs an agent and wants it to reach another person, or another agent, without a human hunting for the address.
